WELCOME
I am a third-year Economics PhD candidate at Monash University Australia and SoDa Labs. Prior to my PhD study, I completed my pre-doctoral program — Master of Economics (Research Option) at Monash University Australia, and accomplished Honours degree (specialised in Economics) and Bachelor degree at Monash University Malaysia.
Research Areas: political economy, environmental economics and applied microeconomics
I enjoy exploring different types of alternative data and using them in my research to answer social science questions.
I am currently the co-organizer of the Applied Young Economists Webinar (AYEW).

August 2026: I will be visiting LMU Munich for research with a coauthor. I will also present “Representing New States, Remembering Old Ones: Non-Native Legislators’ Responses to Disasters in Upbringing Areas” at the EEA-ESEM Congress 2026.
September 2026 – January 2027: Research visit at the University of Warwick, UK.
